The case looks the same as the original SuperMacro-3 with switches.

The stiffer knob, improved battery contacts and thinner AC adapter plug are welcome improvements.

That really looks likes an electronics masterpiece.

Depending on the price, I might as well get me one of these to replace my SR-71.

The price is supposed to be the same as the previous V3. Unbelievable options. I also like the ability to know it is charging (red led) and it will do this in three hours.

Internal charging: 3 hours? 3 hours it takes to power up until optimum performance? Might as well leave it plugged in all the time. I hope all portable amps aren't like this, specifically the one I should be getting next week- the AE-1.

Yes, 3 hours to charge the AE-1. But then it lasts +/-120 hours.

Duh...got it. Guess I read a little too much into that. Thought it meant it took 3 hours of operation to work at optimum performance...HELLO!!!!!!

Three hours isn't really that long to wait for ~120 hours of operation...heck, my MX700 takes around 4 hours to charge from empty and it doesn't last nearly 120 hours of continuous operation! :)

I think that seeing all the options, this is probably the best bang for the buck in portable amps.

what was the upgrade cost last time? I remember people giving Xin the serial number of the amp and getting a discount. How much did it cost for the upgrade and you got to keep the old amp right?
