28 is fine, especially with two per channel. Good luck with sleeving it in the teflon. After 4ish feet it can be a real pain, YMMV.

The solid core is an issue though. It's fine for interconnects that won't be flexing or moving much, but as a headphone cable and being braided you risk breaks in the line. It will also be quite stiff.

I know about the stiffness. It will be serve as a test only en then they will serve as an interconnect. Stranded is more expensive.
I think I will use one wire per channel without braiding them. Then I have three or maybe four pieces of one meter. and not 6 or 8 pieces of 1,xx meter. Altough I do have 30 meter.. hmmm tough choice. :p

They seem to be plastic but am talking about, OK you know the metal ring and on it that screw looking things that the housing for the drivers is connected and moves up and down with I thank that's plastic and it's kinda lame that there's all this metal that makes it look sexy but that important thing that will most likely not break but leaves that possibility when it didn't have too.

Hello, I'm looking for a DAC/amp for the X1. I'd like the DAC to handle at least 24/96 for HD music (Wav, Aiff, flac, etc ...). Then I'd like this stuff to be transportable (so battery). Finally to be both handled by iphone and get usb input for PC use. Does this exist ? thx

Can you hear any difference between the mediabridge and In-Akustik cables?

The Inakustik cable is a little colder sounding, and detail oriented. Sometimes, there was sibilance while certain cutscenes played on Sleeping Dogs and treble seemed a little prominent, but that only happened while I was gaming with THX Tru Studio. I need more testing. For music, it was too close to call. Both were more detailed than stock overall. The stock cable seemed a little more intrusive in the bass.

I can live with either cable, anyways. I think even though the Inakustik cable is stiff, it wouldn't be problematic at 5 feet. At 10 feet, the stiffness is sort of a hassle, but since 5 feet is short, it won't twist/curl up the same way.

I think if I return the Inakustik, I'll settle for the Mediabridge. I may end up buying a boutique cable in the future. I saw a nice looking 6 inch cable, and a really nice 10 feet extension. I'd use the 6 inch one as an earring, and the extension as the main cable.

Pimp (and protect my 3.5mm input) my X1 Edition...

The only problem I see here is that the cable seems even stiffer than the Premium Inakustik. :frowning2:

Lol, I'm not buying into that cable hype. I just think it's a sexy looking cable. Probably won't get it due to how stiff it looks. I did ask if it's as stiff as it looks...

I'd prefer a 3.5mm female into a 6.3,, male extension cable, but that is like impossible to find. The 6.3mm adapter I have is nice anyways.

ebay sells a bunch of 3 feet flat style cables too. I love flat cables. But they're not long enough.

HMM, 4 feet+6 inches...

Too bad the extension is red. Eww. Doesn't match the X1. Perhaps a decently looking non-flat mini extension...

I'd honestly pay someone to make me a 6" + an 8ft cable as long as one of the cables has a female end, is nice looking, and as malleable as the stock philips cable.

Basically, I'd want something that looks like the stock cable, but a lower impedance, and with the 6" earring.

Today i got my Soundmagic HP 100 and it's bass slam reminds me of the X1. I kinda miss my X1 but i would like to have just a tiny bit less bass (~3dB) and clearer mids. Any contenders? HD600/650 maybe? I have owned the Sennheisers before but that was many years ago and i don't remember anything about them.
