in Poland, now you can get them new for 170€, I think it's a bargain :p I've got them too, but they sound a bit too warm and bassy for me. Would you recommend something with a "lighter" sound, but with great quality and great comfort?

Actually I enjoy the bass very much as it is not bleeding into other frequencies and is very articulate. Also I enjoy the highs quite a lot, nice spark to them.
They are a bit warm though, I agree.

I have been using the X1's since Christmas and I am very pleased with my purchase (£170 from Philips UK).  I will admit I do not have much experience with quality headphones, my only other pair of £100+ headphones are my DT 770 Pros.

I have been using my X1's for most of my listening (when the girlfriend is not in the room), even though I have a good speaker system.  The X1's are so comfy, I used them to watch Lord of the Rings over Christmas and at no time did they feel uncomfortable. The fit is great, I consider myself to have a big head

and I have had no trouble with the X1s.

Music, movies and gaming has all been great through the X1's.  looks like my DT770's will only be getting used when someone is in the same room, as the X1's leak so much sound.  I feel the X1's are more cinematic than my DT770's making them great for movies and the type of games I usually play.

Its good to see the cable is changeable on the X1's, will be investing in a shorter coiled cable to use with my ipad, PC etc.  It would have been nice if the ear pads could be changed too, as can be done with my 770's.

so i've had these for a few days now, great purchase.. although theres one thing that's bugging me... the earpads cannot be changed so what will i do once these get a bit old? they already attract over 9000 dust and hairs

this might be a deal breaker.. removable earpads are a must
