It's a bit pricey. For that price, I'd get many mediabridge cables, which sound about as good, and are plenty sturdy themselves....

I ordered this to Finland http://www.amazon.com/Monoprice-Designed-Mobile-Stereo-Plated/dp/B00847Q5AA/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1374156465&sr=1-1&keywords=monoprice+3.5mm ($5 shipped from Gizmo Dorks). Only 6ft long but that's enough for desktop use / cable test. Haven't receiver my item yet so can't confirm whether this seller is legit or not.

From memory, the Monoprice cable was 0.4ohm, as is the Mediabridge cable.

People have been using multimeters to test the resistance. I have tested the Mediabridge cable myself (two of them). Other cables have also hit around 0.5ohm, so it seems to be normal for audio cables. The X1 cable has been 1.8ohm for me (two X1s). It's almost as if it was on purpose.

thanks salvatore. What is the impedance of the cable? The ideal was because the cable of 0.5ohm fidelio x1 is 1.0ohm + / -

greetings

Can't remember for sure, but somebody posted it in this thread. I think it was quite low maybe around 0.5ohm. Oh and the cable arrived today so the seller is definitely legit. Haven't had time to test the cable yet.

E: this is actually very cool looking cable.

I did some cable measuring of my own with a multimeter.

These are the readings that I got:

  Stock Philips X1 Cable

  1.8 ohms              :\
  In-kakustic "Star" MP3 cable (4.9')

  0.2 ohms   Very low resistance
Monoprice "Designed for Mobile" 3.5mm cable (6')

  0.4 ohms      Pretty good!
