Looks like this is the first application of Titanium cup on a headphone. Not sure how does it compared to other metal casings.

Titanium is light weigh and pretty strong, and should have a resonance frequency much higher than aluminum but I have no concrete idea of the resulting sonic character of the cans. I think this is going to be one fast can.

5 Hz - 43 kHz - pretty impressive for a pair of dynamic cans. Wonder who can hear 5 Hz ?

But at US$455 this is not a cheap one. Shipped to US, this will be in the price range of RS-1 easily.

Wonder if there is a big enough demand for it ?

Audio Technica must feel the A900 series is the sweet spot in their line-up to keep on making limited editions of this version.

BTW, they have already announced their EWS9 woodly that is to be released next week.
