Arrived at the new site to find I'd been logged out. Tried to log in once, and was immediately told my account was temporarily locked due to too many failed login attempts. Waited for a while and then tried again, but got the same message every time. Based on a post I found here I reset my password, and now I'm able to log in.
Same thing for me since I posted in this thread earlier. VERY unpleasant.
This is an unmitigated disaster. Was there no thought given to setting up a beta version for testing prior to public launch, either in parallel or as a separate instance?
Web development 101:
1. You do user testing with established users to get feedback on feature set and functionality prior to implementation.
2. You test in private before launch, not publicly after launch.
Seriously guys, I'm sure this is all well-intentioned, but Jeebus!
Guys, exactly the same thing happened when Head-Fi switched to the Huddler platform 7 years ago. Everyone thought the sky had fallen because a bunch of functionality was missing or had changed. Over time, that was fixed and improved.
Hi!
After having to reset my pw I tried to also relog in Tapatalk and nothing is loading, also I can't log in with the new pw.
Will the update for Tapatalk take a while, re-following didn't help btw.
Actually, loosing my subscribed threads buggs me the most. (Oh new Emojis)
Is this supposed to be the standardsize? Seems excessive
Edit: Oh the Emoji is only taking up a quarter of my screen while writing the message, afterwards it's standardsize ^^
Something else: Not beeing able to upload pictures, instead having to upload them to a filehoster and pasting a link will get many pictures deleted after a short while.
The new update is horrendous. I cannot find anything without a lenghthy search, and when I try to log into both my computer and mobile, I get the login error message...I have logged in the same way on both devices to no avail, and have had to reset the password four times...
This site is no longer intuitive...and smacks of overly large ads...I haven't even begun to explore my account, as a result...
My hope is that I find not much else different...sigh. Not a good update...
thanks
and @currawong I wasn't here for that, and honestly I'd expect 7 years later that the dev team would have tested it prior to launch. Forward progress is always nice, but repeating mistakes isn't. Obviously you guys know that, on the plus side I do like how the new current threads are listed. The Fade into picture feature is nice!
