what is going on with the FS threads ?

how can i bump my FS threads ?

how can i choose if i want to see ads by the date of LAST BUMP ?

where are the pics of the items for sale ?

oh my god , this feels like a layout made by a saboteur of head-fi......

And here I was just about to sell a relatively pricey item... I'm worried people won't even be able to figure out how to contact me to buy it now without that PM button. lol

As best as I can see, this update is about the forum owners making more money regardless of how it affects the members. The owners should not forget that the members make the forum, not the other way around....

Okay if you click the thing in the upper right where it shows your alerts (click on the number even if it's 0), it will take you to a really useful page. There's a link on the left bar to edit your Personal Details there.

I can't get the search (or much other functionality, e.g. recent activity) to work when on mobile version (and I only use mobile version usually). Mostly I keep getting security error messages, e.g if I try to 'like' any of the above comments I get a random security error.

The only way I've been able to find anything, therefore, is to flip intermittently between desktop and mobile versions.

It looks quite hard to keep an eye on subscribed posts, and I wouldn't know how to subscribe to new ones.

These are just teething troubles I'm sure. The big dislike for me is the text layout. It seems such a poor use of the available space - when reading but also when writing/editing a post. Even a short post of a sentence or two takes up a full page.

Hey everyone! We've been working hard on this new platform, and we know we have more iterations to go.

I understand where you're coming from, heavyharmonies. We're working on refining it, and do value feedback. For your thread subscriptions, you can head here: https://head-fi.org/f/watched/threads
That link doesn't work, it asks for another login when I'm already logged in. Then when I supply my creds it says my account is locked out, which it isn't, since I am responding here.
I know and can appreciate that you are probably sweating bullets right now, however, this is a mess. I'm a software architect at a major bank, if I rode herd on something like this, I'd be getting more than a lecture. Do you realistically think that you can sort out enough of the user and site issues in the next few hours?
I'm also getting a vertical scroll bar on the heading banner on the forums page. I had that happen to me once using an svg on the banner div, but fixed it before unleashing the page.
The home page asks to log in, but I'm already logged in.
You know the SDLC, fix before releasing, known issues should not irritate users. Good luck getting this sorted out.

I checked that and for the most part am staying logged in, except where there are bugs. Of course the home page confuses that with the "Log In: at the top right of the page.

I also found zooming in helps to cut down on those grey bars

  • No email notifications when someone quotes you. (At least Account Alerts covers it.)
  • Reputation points and comments are gone. (Replaced from scratch with the new "Like" system.)
  • No visual interface when quoting someone in a post. It just shows some code.
