  What do you think about the detachable cable?  Some people suggested that the plug Fostex using is hard to find.

What I don't really like is that it seems to come out with only one cable 3mt. long.

Should be really easy to find a short cable since they use the HD-6XX connectors and there are lots of those cables around.

Yeah David, you're right but the point was to have these TH610 right out of the box with a portable cable and my DX90...

I don't think they would put a short cable since the TH-610 would not be considered a portable headphone but I see your point.  I mean how hard would it be and how much would it cost to have two cables in the box, a 10 footer and a 3.5 footer, total cost $20 more for the manufacturer?

At the current price of about $650 for the TH-610, I don't think any of the Stax in this price range would better them.  But it also depends on what sound signature you are looking for, if you want a fun sound then the TH-610 would be my choice, it you want clear smooth highs and a nice mid range but lacking some low end then the Stax would be my choice.
