agree...and toss in the audeze sine...yes i know they're not exactly the same...just that the audeze is new, too, so would be cool to see how its sound sig/bass holds up to the 610 etc....and most especially how  the 610 compares to the thx 00

Oh I am so looking forward to that. I really wish the TH-X00s were available outside of massdrop (especially purplehearts) and maybe had the removable cable. I really wish the th610 will outperform the X00s so that they can be an easy buy

Jeffri...those are 2 cans I'm interested in... big sound diff?

Yes, they are quite different. TH-X00 is more fun, slightly V-shaped, powerful bass. Sine to me is very balanced, have thicker mids and overall smoother and cleaner than TH-X00. I liked the bass on TH-X00 better, but I think Sine has better sound quality all around.

That said, after wearing Sine for a week, I felt like home when returning to TH-X00. In the end, TH-X00 is much more comfortable due to the full size design and thicker earpads, while Sine making my ear hurt after a while (a bit better now though than when it's new). I think both do compliment each other and was a great headphone to choose depending on the mood that day. Sine is also more portable, so that is the headphone I'll take when I'm travelling, but at home, I know I'll reach my TH-X00 more often.

i'm about to pull the trigger on the massdrop to compliment my senn 650s...but those 610s...
wonder if the $$$ will be worth it...guess we'll have to await more comparative reviews

I totally would have pulled the trigger on the THX00s if it wasn't for September 30th shipping and then dealing with customs etc during the Christmas. 610s on the other hand... I think they would be a good sidekick to my HD600s

Oh those are very pretty, but do you think that they match either the X00s or any other of the denon/fostex/emu series in terms of sound quality ? I haven't read much about them, but they seem a bit gimmicky to me (very good looking but...).

that is something i'm not sure...there is a strong thread on headfi on them...and other sites have reviewed it positively too.

wow, people really do say pretty good things about them. Zeos (from zreviews on youtube) compared the two in his review of the mezes - might be worth checking out.
