Regarding the fit issues which can be different for everyone I thought the fit was troublesome at the upper part of my ear since it didn't had much grip. However if I wear the headphone with the wings slightly more towards the back of my head the fit is just perfect and comfortable to me. I'm not going to think of bending.
 

That's good for you. I could've not used these without bending. They didn't stay on at all, and made contact only under my ears, there was absolutely no seal. =D

Just chiming in, I have no issues with fit whatsoever for the W3000ANV. If anything I think the fit is more tight than loose! Of all the AT headphones that I do own/have owned, the only one that i had problems with was the A2000X which were super loose. Would love to try out the W5000 or W1000X some day but from what I've seen in pictures the fit is about the same as the A2000X.

Does it seem to fit big heads better? All my other headphones are maxxed or almost maxxed out on the size adjustments. I've found no fitment issues with the W3000. Others who have smaller heads seem to have some slight trouble.

My thoughts exactly purrin. I have a larger than average head and I can completely sense those with a smaller head will get into serious fit issues.

ATH-W3000ANV has a tight fit when shaped correctly. I find ATH-W1000X more comfortable, but still they stay on just as well, if not better.

I decided to pass on this gorgeous headphone due to this.  I'll keep my w1000x which I love.  (I also ordered a T1 as a consolation since they were on sale on Amazon yesteday).

I'm the new owner of the L3000 that went up for sale yesterday. I wanted one with the original cable, especially since my dynamic setup is single ended. I'll be putting my other L3000 up for sale soon: it's balanced with a cable from Moon-Audio. I plan on letting it go for a really good price.

I was very tempted but decided not to since I just ordered 3 headphones yesterday (HD598, AH-A100 and W3000ANV).
An L3000 on top of that would have been too much of a good thing ...
