Well...many people use Poweramp successfully with the Fiio m11 pro and I have not heard of any issues like that with Sony Headphone connect. Given that Fiio uses a modified version of Android and it doesn't operate exactly like phone versions, I would start there. I would suggest resetting the device to factory default, make sure all updates are applied and then start with Poweramp. If that runs normally for a day or so I would then add in the Sony app. and repeat the process. My "guess" is that the Lawnchair app is the culprit here. I have not seen it referenced in any of the Fiio M11 forums (I searched) or in any reddit discussions either but given the fact that it modifies the interface I would suspect that it simply does not play nice. Have you reached out to the app developer and asked if it is supported in this context?

I'll have to give it a try with just poweramp. I tried it will all of my other apps except for lawnchair, and the bug still happened, so this is a good next step.
I find this really odd, because I use the same apps on my other android DAPs(DX200, M7, M9), and they work fine.

Sadly, that's the nature of a modified OS. You never really know what tweaks are made and it's nearly impossible to regression test apps against it unless the developer makes a test environment available AND the app developer has the resources to test and remediate their code on an ongoing basis. Not to mention sometimes fixing a bug for one version of a modified OS breaks another version that was working.

I did some more testing, and I think I found the root cause of the issue.
Some audio output setting in Poweramp(I'm not exactly sure which one) was likely the cause, because as soon as I imported my prior settings from a backup file with no other apps installed, everything broke immediately. But once I imported everything except audio output settings, everything seems fine. I'll do keep testing it over the next week, hopefully it was that.
