New DAP from HisoundAudio : The Studio 6

Ah, oh well, my bad. That whole post is just my own opinion, nothing more. If people are happy with their IEM's, that's the goal at the end of the day. It's at a point where people's satisfaction is (and should be) the main priority.

No worries. I just will not mention his name in respect to him. But I very much trust his opinion on the subject matter. To my knowledge he compared it to the first revision of LCD 2.

Then I'll very much keep an eye out for the SE5 - it seems like a special IEM.

Another thing to note. LCD 2 does not have a huge sound staging for an open back headphone. Not to the standards of say HD800. Very much different approaches on sound. The SE5s focus is on depth of the music. It is very unique. Separation is extremely good yet the presentation is solid (dense). Really hard to explain that concept. Add in the thicker note weight of the treble and the lush mids. Very resolving IEM. To make it even more confusing this IEM can sound bass light depending on the tracks playing lol. It's a chameleon.

This DAP sounds quite amazing. UI is really not on par with sound though...

I own the QP1R and would still keep it above anything else, but for a more musical and toe tapping experience; you can't fault the sound of the Studio 6

Have to agree. The UI still does need some work. Overall though it's an improvement from their previous models. Love the sound

Hey guys, I just got my Studio 6 a couple of days ago. Anyone here know what the current Firmware number is? I'm wondering if there's an update available.

Thanks Mimouille, I may just grab that case for myself too. Do your customs press down on the surface of the player at all? I'll probably be using either my UERM or my N4 when I travel with the S6

Can someone post impression of Studio VI line-out vs Aune M2 line-out , Shanling m5, and maybe other dap's ?

I'm looking to drive either a cayin c5, vorzuge pure II or Cypher labs duet into the DT880 600 OHM and later the HD800.\

Any advice on the amplifiers is also appreciated.
