New CORDA AMPS!

The design is way better than the Porta Corda. The input for USB on the back is definitely an improvement. The connector for an adapter has better placement as well and from what I can see it's a lot smaller than the PC as well.

Also the volume knob seems a litter bigger than the one on the PC.

Looks like Jan really thought about this design. If it sound as good as the PC it's a great amp.

The move of the external power source to outside the case is a nice addition. I won't miss fumbling with removing the battery every day.

I already made a custom casing, so that's not a problem for me any more.

the differance is not that hudge

I'd say 2 cm on a 10 cm amp is quite the difference. That might just be me though.

There was ALWAYS a Porta Corda with a USB DAC option. This is nothing new, and was certainly in place long before there was a "Headphonia" amp.

I just got the following email from Jan:

Quote:

Dear Rob,

The first production charge of MOVE-amplifiers arrived today.
If testing goes well the first amps will be shipped on
Thursday or Friday.

MOVE + shipping = EUR 175,- or USD 235,- (for customers
outside the EC).

Yay!

"I'm very sorry, but the amp will only be available in the
color-combination shown. The front- and backplates are black.
The body is silver."

Doesn't look too shabby in the black/silver, but still would've preferred it to be all black. I guess it's not that important; how it sounds is most important.

I just received my Corda Arietta amp today. I'm having issues with sounds; more sound is being channeled to the left channel then right. Initially I was able to remedy this by turning up the "play control" in Windows through the "play control."

I am not sure where to start and did not want to clog the forum.
