I really like the bass boost on oppo-ha2.so bass boost or some kind of equalizer would give some more warmth /bass to the music :) would love to try the Mojo one Day ;) its very rewarded in the press and here on head-fi :)

PS:guitars and vocals are perfect on the t5p

I tried the t5p one more time in the car yesterday. My daughter was playing on her ipad, and my wife was listening to the Cars stereo, while she was also talking to my Mother. I feelt that if i played the volume a little high, the isolation was ok,but not Great. So to prevent hearing damage (im getting old,lol :P ) , i will use the iems for this purpose. I also sold my Philips fidelio x2s to my Brother. Dont have use for them anymore

Also sold my audio technica ath msr 7. So super happy with the t5p

How is the bass compared to X2?

Im no expert on mids, treble, bass,on headphones. And not good at describing differences. lol.but i did like the bass on the x2s.But i like the bass on the t5p also, and its an overall better headphone for at least my ears . :)

Tried the "she zoremet" by infected mushroom.Very special Electronic music,Thought it was impressive on the Shure se846,but on the beyers i was in audio nirvana. People should try this track on their headphones or iems.sound quality is superb.the music as i Said, very special.but i like it :)

Has anyone bought the T5p from an Amazon European site recently and received the second generation model?

As far as I know the first generation is no longer being sold anywhere (apart from Beyer themselves selling them off cheaply), but the Amazon listing hasn't been updated. The price profile below certainly indicates a refreshed product, with the gradual decline in price and the jump back to full RRP.

The Amazon US site still shows the picture of the first gen model, but the text has been revised to confirm the update.

In the mid 90s I had a pair of Beyer DT431 and eventually sold them to get Sennheiser HD525... then the HD25 and ultimately HD598. I was missing the clarity of the Beyers so a few months ago I bought the T1 v2 for home usage driven by a Fostex HP-A8C headphone amp. I enjoy them so much that I also recently bought the T5p v2 as a more "portable" solution.

Build quality of both T5p v2 and T1 v2 are first rate. Both very comfortable. The T5p sunds darker, less bright and a bit more forgiving than the T1. Soundstage is smaller than T1 due to closed design but is very good. I find the T5p not offering that much isolation for a closed design but for my needs its perfect. I had a pair of Momentum and I felt it was too closed. Bass is a bit deeper on the T5p but I feel the T1 is tighter, faster and more precise.

Having to only keep one pair I would probably keep the T5p for its better all around capability and is much easier to drive. The T5p is easy to drive and could play quite loud with an iPhone. But it sounds a bit shy straight from a phone, it sounds much better and punchy with an amp.... even a small portable one like the Camrbridge DAC Magic XS does really help the T5p shine.

If you have desktop amp and only listen to music at home and mainly good recordings then I suggest the T1 v2. The T1 v2 is clearer, more details have a wider soundstage.  The T1 v2 soundstage is so good that it sounds like listening to speakers while the T5p sounds like headphones. Both very good products.

Thats what i like about it too.The portabilaty and easy to drive. I use a oppo ha-2/ipod touch 6gen/tidal HiFi with it and its just perfect.I can take it with me every and get audio nirvana ;) the isolation could be better of course, but rather this and its Great sound then downgrade the sound for better isolation. A open back headphone and a stationary amp is not an option for Me,with an little kid in the House :) But i think the t5p gives an amazing sound and a Great soundstage for a closed back to be. :D

I wonder if anyone can compare these to Fostex TH900? I mainly listen to EDM and other contemporary music.
