I just received the 1.4m Beyerdynamic cable from Thormann. It's perfect for my needs - Just like the original but shorter. I noticed the the T1 cable also fits my Denon AH-D7100s, so I will order another 1.4m cable for them.

Likewise I find the 3 m cable far too long as nowadays most of us have desktop gear and portable gear.
 
I am tempted to try the Beyer T5P (32 Ohms) which is a closed can and comes with 1.4 m cable but from PM I had, seems to have a warmer sound with less detail but closed cans have their benefits. (as we all know)
