NEW: Audio-Technica ATH-ESW11LTD

I just sent my ESW10jpns to be recabled since they all coiled up with age.

I wonder how these headsets differ from mine? Is there any comparison to the ESW10jpns and not the ES9s; would feel more relevant for me.

Are they just another run of the ESW10jpns? With a different lacquer?

All I find are comparisons to mass produced models. And the search thread option hasn't led me to anything.

*Sorry, you are going to have to go through this page page by page.

They (the comparisons) are there, I know. I have read read this thread several times.
Only 45 pages, not as bad as some threads.
The search function often won`t really help.

I used my ATH-ESW11 today after a long, long time, I found them a bit on the dark/muffled side at times.

I guess it is time for some grunt work. :)

Just realized these use different sized drivers than the ESW10jpn. Are the cup sizes the same on the two models? Are they considered the same kind of form-factor at that point to even compare them?

I guess it is to would be fair to expect the ESW10jpn to have a tighter bass in theory.

way too over priced for my liking but I will say they are very nice.

I have been longing for ages for a pair of ATH-ESW9's and just find them to be way too over priced and now there are probbaly many headphone out there that are cheaper and just as good if not better.

Also when is Audio Technican going to introduce headphones with a detaceable cord like what others are doing.

I have ATH-ESW9, you can pick them up fairly cheaply used sometimes- a great headphone.

ATH-ESW11- overpriced? Maybe, but it is A Ltd Edition model and sounds great for a portable.
