This morning, things are closer between the two cables (lmr400 and c2).

Let's call the c2 the natural one, and the lmr400, the surgical one. I don't even know which one i prefer. The c2 sounds more like NOS, while the lmr400 is more like OS. If that makes sense to you. So the lmr400 is really an excellent value.

I have been using LHY OCK-1 for a week and I am very satisfied with the results.
My R8 (2021) does not have a clock input from the factory, so I sent it to Magnahifi and they made the modification. The display module was replaced, the SPDIF input was changed to a bnc clock input and the R8 received a special firmware. It works like an R8 mk2 EC.

Now both R8 and DI20-HE are controlled to OCK-1 master, the improvement is what I expected and more.
All sounds are clearer, including highs, mids and lows. The soundstage is larger, the instruments are more separated from each other.
But what amazes me is how real every sound and instrument is. It's as if the singer is standing in front of me, the guitar is being strummed in front of me, the drum is playing in front of me.
A pleasure to listen to, very captivating.

I didn't do many tests, the R8 is connected to the square wave, the DI20-HE is connected to the sine wave, I don't know which one is more affected by the master clock, the DAC or the DDC.
All my devices have a clock impedance of 50 ohms.
The clock BNC cables are from Magnahifi, it's cheap RG58 cable 0.5m lenght. Later I will try other cables, but for now I'm very happy with the result. :relaxed:

The dac is the most affected so should get the square.

75 Ohm does exist: https://timesmicrowave.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/08/lmr-400-75-datasheet.pdf
However not seen terminated and/or in Europe yet...
Sorry. Yes. Not easy to find. The 75-ohm offer is wide and there are very good quality cables (silver) below 200usd. 50-ohm is another story. The offer quickly rises above 700usd...

The Oyaide is supposed to be a very good 75-ohm clock cable
