No, the clock input is 10 MHz, the output can be set to either output 256fs clock (whatever that may mean) or WCLK (wordclock). The latter follows the frequency of the audio signal. I actually use that to provide word clock input to my Merging Hapi DAC, but not many DACs have that option.
You are absolutely right. I lost an important word when writing. Sorry

Im getting old. No joke(bare with me) How do I make myself clear.

Ahem! ahem!

1. I have a coax/75Ohm cable
2. My DAC has 10Mhz input(IN2) -BNC
3. My DDC has also 10Mhz input - BNC
4. My DDC also has a Clock output - BNC

The exciting part

Where do I connect this bnc/75Ohm cable?

Save it for your masterclock :)
USB (Your source) ---> DDC (HDMI cable you got) ---> I2S on your DAC

So clock out is never used???

It is not necessary to use it in your setup ie. redundant for you. I2S out from DI-20 sends the word clock signal to your DAC as a separate signal on dedicated I2S pins. Once you get a master clock you can connect its BNC outputs using BNC cables to the BNC 10mhz clock inputs on whatever devices you intend to use/slave with it eg. DAC, DDC, switch..

Ie. So the answer is yes to your qns 1, 2 & 3 on other thread (edit.. sorry I thought I was responding in the DI-20 thread.. hard to keep track)

Turn on the blue lights😍 It gives me the 80s vibes.

I think the R8HE mk2 was pretty easy to understand

1. Input - IIS/HMDI
2. It was set to 08NON

Anything else needed on the DAC?

But the DDC however looks a little different, I dont seem to understand the serial/parallel thing

What should I set my DDC to if I only have flac files?
————-
Initial listening hour:
Everything has a thicker sound, its like hearing details I heard before, but more full bodied. This sound is very close to what I expected, which means I will keep my other DACS. I am done with DACS!!!!😂

Even though this sound signature, it does not sound like it is in the way. It reveals the “weakness” of the productions. It gives the extra detail from the drums, snare, kicks hihats, cymbals. The decay of reverbs is more pronounced.

But it keeps opening up. I guess the cables are settling in.

In my system, the difference between them is small. Try both, and pick the one that you may prefer.

@OCC7N DI20 setting HDMI i2s '1' is the setting for Kingwa's DACs and many others.

The 4th display element :
"1" means the PCM over HDMI i2s output follows Audio-gd's definition . "2"mean the HDMI I2s connector pins definition follows other standard (inverted DATA and LRCLK signals).

Good point about DI20 HDMI I2s setup. Also check the 3rd bit for DSD operation over i2s..
Here's the DI20 User Manual... http://www.audio-gd.com/R2R/DI20HE/DI20HEEN_Use.htm

The 3rd display element :
"n" (Non Swap) means the HDMI i2s outputs DSD with left and right channels following the Audio-gd definition . "S" (Swap) means the DSD left and right channels are inverted .
