There is plenty of people here who use either R8HE or R7HE in either NOS or OS mode.. The question was which mode is more preferred statistically? You don't need to have both devices, to answer..

Yes, but the seller offered me to customize it to whatever I needed and I sent him the Audio G-D website with the pinout. He said it was not problem to custom build the cable.

I got one of these (DI-20 to R7Mk2) and it‘s spectacular value for money. One my friends then got one for his M7S - Singxer SU1 combo and he loves it too. When I ordered I just put Audio GD in the comments and one turned up.

Looking to explore external clock and i am eyeing the (AfterDarkClayX GIESEMANN OCXO 10MHz Reference Master Clock) but it has one output ,, my DAC (R7) has stock master clock input which i guess is 50ohm ,, but my DI20HE has 75ohm input ,, so which one i should use the master clock with ? the DI20HE or the R7 for best results ?
i only use the I2S cable and i mainly supsample with HQP or audirvana to DSD

I can tell you what I did. Saved money and purchased the Trifecta Extreme Edition, double Emperor if I remember correctly, which has several outputs. This is a good investment for the future, being able to clock several components at the same time regardless of their impedance. Definitely worth it.

Thats a 3100$ clock ,, i never tried any clocking before so i guess this is too steep for me

I highly recommend you to start with Morion clock and you can invest in higher level of clock if you like it. You should not buy blinded for that price tag.

Search "morion" in this thread. You can customize the number of output and choose between 50 and 75 ohms (of eaxh port). Many direct impressions by members here which is really helpful.

With the latest fw, the difference is very small, having the ext. clock feeding the di20 or not, while feeding the r7 makes of course the most difference, as always. FIY, Afterdark makes a 3 output unit, which can be costumized to have both 75 and 50 ohms outs.
