Do you think this can be fixed easily? Just changing the HDM! I2S setting to match AGD products?

I can't find any detailed information on the Aune S5 operation. Operational manual would help. Also the Aune S5 looks like it only has an Android app. Doesn't help me with my Apple products.

You can swap L and R channel at the speakers and then wire then out of phase + to -, - to +. Or find an HDMI cable that allows you to resolder two signals to correct L-R and phase. With the Gustard U12 I found a HDMI driver output chip with the correct signal outputs to reverse connection on the signals driving the cable. It is the I2S LRCLK and DATA that are not correct. But if you can find a user manual you can verify if the AUNE S5 can do this with SW control (like the Singxer SU-1 with switches) DSD would most likely not work at all until corrected.

Check the review of the Allo Usbridge on EnjoyTheMusic.com. It might do dsd512.

[edit]

It officially supports dsd256. If ever they do a Signature version including galvanic isolation, i will buy one.

It did not mention the use of I2S via HDMI nor DSD256 or any DSD though maybe I looked at the wrong places. And how does that Ethernet thing work? Is it to stream via the internet or directly from a PC? Mac has no Ethernet but there is thunderbolt to Ethernet adaptor from Apple.

Regarding the Pins out different on the Aune S5 and audioGd. All you need is an hdmi Cables that has the correct terminals. I did make a Cables like that to use from Pinkfaun i2s into lks004. Because I made Pinkfaun to compatible to AudioGD, I had to make my own cables to feed lks004.

The lks004 did not find any noticeable improvements over Pinkfaun i2s, but the AudioGD is another world !

This usbridge just does usb out. They are many way to use it. With Volumio installed, it can be standalone. With DietPi, it becomes an Airplay node. It is also a Roon node, uPnP node, etc...They have an equivalent product with spdif out, but according to reviews, the usb product sounds better.

The next version will likely have a major upgrade, including galvanic isolation. The point is having a vey well clocked and clean usb signal helps the ddc a lot In producing real high-end sound.

My idea is if/when the galvanicaly isolated version is released, i will use it as a standalone steamer with Volumio, using the iPeng remote and either a directly connected usb drive or a network drive. I will use my 5v ultra-low noise lps on the clean side, and will power the dirty side with the supplied smps, itself connected to a separate isolation transfo. The very clean 5v coming out of the audiophile usb port will power my f-1.

The Aune S5 doesn’t have Wifi so you connect Ethernet to a router or directly to NAS drive array.

The Aune S5A has Wifi and lists for $999. No real mention but includes,Wifi antenna. Alarm bells go off with Aune products as there is scant online info and documentation.

Did u mean Aune steal user information?

Aune appears sketchy at the moment, needs some good reviews or at least good feedback from users or a great dealer to communicate with. If Magna sells it that would be great but it seems to be in direct competition with their own Mano.

Today I tried DSD512 again from having the r2r7 on for 72 hours straight. Therefore, no warm up time needed....again, very obvious sound degradations, from fell on it face sub-bass extensions, bloated mid-bass into veiled up lower trebles....etc....how in the world ? My I2S Pinkfaun into the I2S On R2R7 is so wonderful, like it is unbelievable performances without pricing in the factor.

Probably requires some software upgrade for the R2R7's DSD playback. Magna will see about the noise issue with my DSD256 playback which he thinks maybe the R2R7's own DSD playback issue, though I may need to tweet my computer a bit too

Use HQPlayer, it will only be noisy when the music stops, when music is on, the noise will be gone. I think it is more of Amanero issues

Has anyone tried the SOTM products?

Something like this player ?

Or this for a USB bridge :

External clocking are options but probably useless for Audio-gd as there is no clock input

Get a dedicated Pc with Pinkfaun I2S. I don’t think there is any way to outperform R2R7 with this I2S setup. It is no longer about soundstage, details, separations, layering...it is now onto the level where you would say “I just dropped my jaw due to the inner resolutions of timbres tonality”. The inner resolutions is the absolutely best I have yet heard from any system. Could you imagine how crazy it gets if multiple of the same category instruments playing, you can clearly pick them apart due to their own tonal body in the most complex passages ? That is how crazy the inner resolution of r2r7 on a Pinkfaun dedicated server get. I am only runnning 192Khz and NOS3 now, but HQPlayer pick it up another notch with the DSP filter options

DSD512 on lks004 is damn good, but there is no outperforming this level of inner resolution from r2r7 and i2s Pinkfaun. I will try to explain it with much more details later. Given that I enjoy both setups

I use both the SOtM sMS200-ultra and the TX-USBultra . Between these and the R2R7 i use a Singxer SU1 Magnafied for I2S. They sound excellent in my setup. Enormous spacy and micro details. Crispy mids and solid and very good layered bass.
I wrote some reviews, in Dutch though:

btw, I use NOS3 on the R2R7 and the V2 smooth/accurate combi firmware
