Asgard 2 perhaps.

Would that actually work well?

Supposed to be a mini-Mjolnir, just not as much power and not balanced.

Best but cheapest amp for the LCD3?

How does one even go about answering that. Haha.

Asgard 2, good and cheap, but better than Lyr? (Which is more but still cheap)

Isn't Magni the cheapest and still good..

And by my count, Lyr 2 should be dropping in a few.

Under $500 for an amp I should say.

Jason said it's of similar design, just smaller scale.

It has a similar gain stage to Mojo, but it's not a circlotron topology. And of course, way less power.

Not even that much.  Just the cascoded JFET input pair.  Which is something, you can read up on cascoding on the Pass site.

Does anyone notice that the fabric over the driver on one side is tighter than on the other?

And does it matter?

I tried adjusting it with my finger but no dice, I think one side was just glued tighter than the other.
