Zebrano x 2:

Yes, that is very nice. Trevor at Norse Audio just made for me a set of his Norn cables with a zebrano splitter that perfectly matches the wood on my phones (and, BTW, sounds excellent.) Now I just need to find an amp with a zebrano case...

Did you refinish the grills, or is that just lighting? And who makes that stand, again?

I´m planning assembing the G100 in a (Zebrano) wooden chassis. BTW: The grills are just affected by the outside light.

Why not. Others post impressions - I focus on listening and taking pictures - and keep the longvinded impressions to myself. More to follow. I guess that´s team work. :)

I am quite surprised how different the LCD-3 sounds after a lot of play - compared to when it was brand new out of the box. I do not believe much in "burn-in" - but now I do (cf. been re-calibrated the ears via my other headphones in order to not fool my self).

WA5 al lthe way.

WA5 all the way... to the mortgage broker.  There fixed it for you :D  I have actually read that the WA5 for whatever reason doesn't deal with the LCD-X as well as the WA22.  I forget which Head-Fier has both and posted that though.

A review on headphonia said it didn't pair with it as well as his T1, but that's nothing from which to draw a consensus.

To the mortgage broker? None of the kind of gear we are dealing with is cheap... that's for sure. Is this kettle blacker than the other pots?

Not a big fan of the giant Y connector on some of the Toxic cables, the plain poison cable at $212 is decent looks/length/feel/price. The Q cables only servicing LCDs and Hifimans is odd, and the price scales up fairly quickly once you get to a usable length (2-2.5 meter) The DHC cables actually look quite nice and are affordable, and feature more customization.

I have gotten rid of the Y split i was using, i now use a much smaller/lighter Carbon Fibre Y split.
