I am glad that's staying the same. I'll be recabling via Q soon and if I upgrade down the line I'd wantto use said cable.

I am one of those, having bought the Rev2 3 weeks ago.
But I am not upset, as the ALO special cables I also got with it will work on the LCD-3 if I choose to get a pair.

In all seriousness though I am frustrated (to say the least) that I was not even remotely informed about the LCD 3 when I ordered my LCD 2. Sure they're at a different price point, but it's still frustrating...

I didn't order mine directly from Audez'e, but if I did... man... I feel your frustration MorbidToaster!!

Maybe someday Audez'e can offer existing customers a trade-in offer like STAX?

The Q cables new price point is hard to ignore, and the offering of adapters makes the deal sweeter. I'll have a lot of impressions and reviews to write soon.

NFB 10SE (Balanced and SE)
LCD 2 Rev 2
Q Audio Cable (4 Pin with SE Adapter)
Koss ProDJ100
XB700 (Maybe)

Look forward to your impressions of the Q recabling =)
Still waiting for my DHC cable to pass through customs =(

Man I hope not. I have the leather on the way for improved looks and hygiene but have no ergonomic problems with the foam. I hope it's just as comfortable and doesn't slide around.

Oh I find the leather really comfy, but since I don't get a lot of owners complaining about slippage, I'm assuming it's down to my funny shaped head HAHA! Like a 50p coin =p

So for those who heard all of Rev 1, Rev 2 and LCD3, would you say that the Rev 2 is a "half-arse" LCD3 or an "LCD-3 wannabe"? Or is it just a slightly improved (to me, less creamy) version of the Rev 1 after you have heard the leap from LCD2 to LCD3? If you can keep two of the Rev 1, Rev 2 and LCD3, which two of them will you pick?

Would be great if anyone has heard all three to give their opinions.
Well for the price, I'm expecting leaps and bounds from the LCD-3 over the LCD-2 rev2s. Is it still kind of 50/50 opinion split as to the performance of the LCD3s?

Hearing some good comments about the Dark Star and LCD-3 combo, does that give us any insight as to what these Headphones are about? Iunno, I'm just thinking out loud guys.

I am inclined to believe in Skylab, but I have equal respect for Mavlab's opinion on the Darkstar. If you read Skylab's review, two main points come out:

1. A good part of your money goes to the Darkstar's looks.
2. It is good if you two pair of headphones for use with it, e.g. LCD2 and HE6. If you only have the LCD2 it is probably not worth it. The LCD3 requires even less power than the LCD2 so the Darkstar is probably an overkill. I'd stick with my Leben at home and my "bricks" rig in office.

You guys, maybe this is just me, but why can't headphone manufacturers raise the stitching quality on their leather to an art form (Hermes figured this out a long time ago)? Every time I see a new headphone, I isolate the earcups and they looked like they are supplanted from the 70's. Please, I know this is an anal concern, so don't rake me over the coals for this one.  I just wish for pride in craftsmanship, that's all.
