True, prices of American headphones in Europe are crazy. European headphones are more expensive in USA, too, but not as much.

So we have T1 and HD650 for now. Thanks for the input!

Since I currently own both the T1 and the HE-6, IMO there is nothing in common between the HE-6 and T1. Cannot say too much about the LCDs (as I don't own one) too much except that at the Vancouver meet the T1 was closer to the romantic sound put out by the LCD2 than the transparent and more neutral sound of the HE-6. And the pure treble on the HE-6 cannot be even closely emulated by (the LCDs or) the T1 where the treble is rolled off precipitously. Similarly,  the elevated mid bass and the mid range in both the T1 and LCD2 makes it sound closer to each other than the HE-6.

Thank you mate, it was indeed your pair that I made this conclusion with. loved the T1's and what you say is exactly how I felt. Thank goodness is is not me with funny hearing!

Has anybody got to try out their LCD-3's with any of Burson's amps or DAC's, specifically the HA-160DS and HA-160D? I know the LCD-2 apparently was able to synergies well with the Burson gear, and would like to know if that still holds true for the LCD-3.

HA-160DS and HA-160D might be bottle necks in a LCD3 system, if you want to push the LCD3 to its true colour.

I think that depends on which LCD-3 you have...

Just picked up a Beyer T5p for about 580USD, is that a good price? Have been a-bing it with the new LCD-3s, no match.

Hi, I've been reading a lot about LCD headphones and I am very interested in them. Unfortunately I don't have a chance to audition them anywhere in my country yet.
Please tell me to which other well-known headphones (but not orthodynamics nor electrostatics) LCD2 or LCD3 are similar to.

:) Any dynamic headphone is similar to the electrostats or orthodynamics. They have speed, focus and instrument separation that is unachuevable by dynamic drivers (I've listened for a week to HD800 and count them too). I can compare the sound signature of my LCD-2 only to O2mk2 driven by good amp. And both have nothing in common with audio technica's headphones :)

For anyone in the know, does Audez'e plan to release a revised arc assembly in the near future? No matter how great it sounds, it still bugs me greatly that a $2k headphone doesn't look and feel like one.

Try holding the $5000 Stax 009, you will be disappointed if you think the LCD's don't feel like 2k phones, the STAX sure don't feel like 5K headphones... Until you hear them! Or the HD800's, light weight and plastic feeling. I have a feeling the only ones that would meet your requirement would be the new ones from FAD, solid SS!

It seriously bugs be that without a comparison etc. I wouldn't have the faintest idea wether I get the 'real deal' or a 'bad/veiled' pair.... : /

It is what it is. They are getting better but if you want to be sure, monitor Audeze activity and wait to purchase.
