*NEW* Apple Ipod Shuffle

Wow. Been using a Clip for what must be the last 2 years because of Apples worthless shuffle navigation, loss of bookmarks, etc (I think my 2g shuffle is in my sons toy box somewhere). I just saw this and was very intrigued, playlists and the voice over would allow me to actually use this thing for audio books, music and podcasts- just like a Clip. 2 minutes into the video I realize the entire device revolves around a remote on the headphones- perhaps the dumbest move Apple has made to date. These features in addition to the standard Shuffle controls would probably make for a very competitive device, but this one is a loser folks.

no reason to really bash it yet but... who knows, maybe in a week there will be!

It may be true that it may have excellent sq.

However, they're forcing you to use the stock iPod earbuds, with a bunch of controls added on to it. In all honesty, forcing people to use the stock buds will really KILL the product. I mean, WHAT WERE THEY THINKING? I like the design, but I can't justify purchasing this over the clip, when it's cheaper, and has more functions.

I think that this is awesome, and if I didn't have my iPhone with me at all times I would consider it.

I love being able to 2 click forward and 3 clicks back already on the iphone, it took all of 3 seconds to learn. I am also excited to have volume controls on the cable in the next iPhone (this is going to happen) and hopefully decent headphone manufactures will add the controls+mic to their headphones.

Everyone needs to remember all the uproar there was when the 1st gen shuffle came out and look what happened, the shuffle is still around.

Although I agree, they will probably offer an adapter of sorts. But I was just thinking about that article about how iPods killed music XD, and the lack of controls on the new shuffle made me think about that.

Someone mentioned that they are working with 3rd party producers to make an adapter.

I still think the new shuffle is a terrible idea with its minimalist controls and requiring either a headphone adapter or an all-new headphone! Small wonder why my suggestion of the SanDisk SANSA Clip as a decent alternative has struck a chord on this message thread.

Alright how about we stop saying the Sansa clip is better and start focusing on the product ;p

the remote looks like a nightmare.

they could have put normal play/next track/previous track buttons on it, but no. one button to manage all those features.

seriously, was there any point in making physically smaller? the last one was fine enough, would have been awesome to have a screen on the clip, but that's asking too much.

now it's begging for too much...

the player is called iPod Shuffle... they dont expect people to take soo seriously in choosing what they want to listen... the ideal people are people just like songs... singles... put in a play list. And just choose the list and play then just forget about it and listen to the songs.

For most products, not all.

e.g. The Nuforce NE-7M can be bought internationally via Amazon.
Depends on the seller thus you always check shipping information.
