I'm still looking for an adequate headphone to get before the meet. I don't want to feel left out.

What I'm most afraid of is rediscovering the K1000's then........ and wanting them again. I've actually stopped listening to them on purpose because of that now.

That point is unevitable

Yeah, it's part of my "Annoy Chimpie" campaign.

Yeah. I miss the feel of air pushing against my eardrums as when using the flanges, but they're just so comfortable. And way better than the Comply tips.

I think I'll leave the NAD 521i and C320 at home. There'll probably be a REGA Jupiter there though...

The C521i and C320 will still be in my possesion, but don't think there'll be much interest in them anyway. Unless anyone tells me otherwise! I'll just use the SLAM to drive the K1000 and RS1...

Anyone want to try the Squeezebox? I don't have a laptop, so I'm afraid someone will have to install SlimServer and bring their laptop and FLAC files if they want to try it...

Updating the list then. A Rega Jupiter would be a great addition!

How do they sound? Well, I know you haven't build them yet but you probably have some idea of what you are aiming at I suppose...

That'll give a decent insight into their sound. I hope I have the drivers on time, as there is no distributor here in Holland those in Germany are insanely expensive (above €200 per driver).

Hey digitalmind,

Add me up to the list:

Stuff i take with me:

My vintage DT-550
icon10.gif

Zen: Aurvana's
HQ-1700
Zen: Vision

So nothing different i take with me compared to Contrastique's meet, except i dont take the EP-630's with me.
Probably i will give the EP-630's away or something, as i dont use them anymore, and they really arent anything special for a head-fi meet.

Contrastique if you'll come too, shall we do some blind test between our sources, would be great fun.
So we can compare Procreate's Imod, your 4th G iPod, Chimpie's 5G iPod and my Creative:Zen. (
blink.gif
wow, lots of apple products)

Would be awesome, if someone could upload some HQ Lossless songs we all appriciate and know (at least some of them), then this would be a good and Objective sound quality test between the sources.

Will do!

I'd love a source comparison, especially with a high end cd player thrown in for fun. Mine can level-match volume, so that'd be a cool thing to do, and see what difference a "high end" source really makes in a blind ab setup. Switching can be done with a preamp.

I wonder.... how will an open balanced DT770 sound?
It's going to dieeeeeee!
