Yeah baby, we're on a roll! Three meets in a relatively short time.

Because some people can't come to the upcoming meet on June 3rd, I'll host another. Date is set on July 8th, don't know exactly how many can or will come, but even with a small group it's plenty of fun.

I live in Nieuw Vennep, close by Schiphol. All are welcome! Drop in the thread to discuss, participate, etc.

Aaah, the true Head-Fi Spirit! I still know the days when you were happy with an HF-1 and a HeadFive/LittleDot.

To have such a lovely appearance at the meet alone would be a great thing, no need to bring gear.

What am I saying? Bring all that you can!

So don't go! Coming to my place will give me the perfect oppertunity to steal your Njoe Tjoeb! Err, now you definitely won't come, right? Damnit.

What's there to think about??? I wish I could go by bike!! If it doesn't live up to your expectation you could just cycle back! Consider it your exercise for the day.
I, on the other hand, would probably stay and eat some chips to get the fuel costs out of it...

Do you need a ride to Maastricht?

You're most welcome to empty my chips reserves. I warn you though, I have LOTS of chips around at all times. Just don't get the audio gear greasy!

Okay... I've just received the pigtail to connect my K1000 to the SLAM. Have to turn it to 12 o'clock or 1pm to get a decent volume.
First impression? The BASS!!!
basshead.gif
Don't know if I like this...
frown.gif
Don't like the subwoofer tied to my head. Maybe it's just something I have to get used to. Maybe it's the SLAM that doesn't have enough 'slam'. Hmmmm... I wonder what the K1000 fanboy himself (=Rik of course) would think of it...

I'm thinking I want to hear it! How are the highs? Any grain or edginess on the highs? That is for me the easiest way to hear if they are being driven faulty. My Mapletree, AVM's headphone out, and JVC receiver all gave the K1000 sharp highs (while bass was fairly full on the Mapletree). Put that baby though it's paces with some high hats and female vocals and see how she fares.
