If anything is going to improve the sound of your Denon AH-D2000 (25-Ohm), the Fiio E11 is something to try.
Could also be that because the AH-D2000 is easy to drive and the Cowan J3 might do a decent job of driving headphones,
that there may not be a big difference in audio quality with the Fiio E11.
Get the Fiio E11 from a retailer with a good return policy.
Well the most common answer seems to be that I don't need one. I guess I'll do that and if I decide I have a bit of spare cash I'll go and try an amp. Thanks.
