Check out the Bowers and Wilkins P5. Quite good and under 300

Do not get the beats, they aren't worth the money. Try out the Sennheiser HD 598, they look great and sound great. A great all-rounder headphone, they are also very comfortable.

not saying not great allrounder, but beware of possibility that the sound could be abit 'soft and tizzy' (not confirmed, not fact from me) but Ive tried the hd518 it has similar tech in it and I don't like it. Would be nice for relaxing music tho.
