Would you guys say the Shure SE535 / Westone UM3X / Audeo PFE 232 / and the Westone W4 sound better than any under $1000 closed headphone on the market? If so witch one out of the 3 is the most comfortable and sounds the best? Please comment below. Thank you!!!

Edit - Im not looking for open headphones just because of the sound leakage :)

I believe that it is far easier for great sound to come out of headphones than IEM, relative to the price.

My Hifiman HE-400 ($399) sounds soooo much better than my IEMs Shure SE535 and Westone 4R ($499 each).

Out of those three IEMs however I feel that the SE535 and 4R sound decently similar. SE535 had more mids, less bass punch and quantity, and less treble sparkle. I felt like the 4R was a great replacement for the SE535s since they sounded similar to me, thus SE535 had no real niche.

I wasn't recommending my He-400s. I was just saying that, in my opinion, as a generalization, headphones are better in terms of sound quality than IEMs given similar price points.
