I have never owned / used the DHP-II, but I can tell you right now the reviews have been quite favorable - including yours. Hopefully the plastic in yours won't break.

How's the isolation on your new 'phones? Also, how big are they exactly? 
I've been looking at getting a pair of those for using on the bus, etc. But I'm not sure if they would be okay for travelling with.
