Yeah I'm sorry this thread has been done to death.
 
I own a pair of SRH840s, they're awesome. Originally I had a boom mic which I literally just taped to the side of it. However after having to play around with it so much the mic broke (boohoo my $6 are gone ) but everyone agrees: that mic was awesome. I could have my AC, a fan, all sorts of background noise going nuts and it didn't make a different, nobody heard a thing.
 
Well now that the mic broke I really need something better/new. The take solution really didn't work out so well as the cabling from the mic was extremely annoying, getting tangled and caught in my chair (it was WAY too long).
 
I'm either looking for a pair of headphones (no USB) or... well... I don't know.
 
I'd love to get a pair of modded ATH-AD700s, but I know I don't have the time or skill to do the mod myself, does anyone sell/make these for others around here perhaps?
