The Zen Master doesn't have the most talented squad is all. The Nuggets pose a lot of the same problems for the Lakers that the Celtics did in last year's finals. They don't really have the bodies to answer the physicality of the Nuggets. Billups is a physically strong PG, Melo is a load at SF, Nene is a dump truck under the hoop. Bynum reminds me of a baby giraffe with his lack of fluidness, Gasol is a cream puff on D, Fisher's only weapon on defense is taking charges when he isn't getting torched, Odom is super talented but mercurial. The Nugs have a bunch of scrappy, athletic guys they can throw at Kobe to tire him out. JR Smith hasn't even started knocking down shots yet. I'm feelin crazy so I'm calling Nugs in 6. Lakers won't lose game 7 if there is one.
I didn't get to watch the Magic-Cavs game due to my coaching gig, but I'll throw in some thoughts. The Magic cause a lot of problems for the Cavs with their tall, mobile perimeter players. The Cavs need to ugly up this series- play physical with the Magic and make Howard shoot free throws. I think the Cavs will find a way, and I just don't like picking teams that rely on making jumpers to win. So I'll go Cavs in 7 for this series.
