ok, so I tried a little and would obviously need more time to have a good grasp, but the 30 and 50 deg have the very typical crossfeed effect as far as I can tell. so they're cool if they fit to the listener. I'd rather use one where I can set what I prefer, but mostly because I got used to have options for everything.
the V2 now is interesting and strangely revealing of positions. it was a fun experience that really changed my mind on a few songs. but I have a clear problem with the high frequencies. I would be tempted to EQ down the high freqs(didn't check where yet). and on a few songs where the voice is not really mono but still mostly centered, the V2 can create too much of a gap and sound weird. so for daily use I think I would stick to the more classical approach of crossfeed with something pretty close to the 30deg version for my personal taste and any width loss is dealt with by my brain after a few minutes.
but for a few genres I'll keep the V2 around for some fun (probably with attenuated high freqs, but I'll have to test that).
ps: no it didn't really help more than any other crossfeed for my climbing center problem. so far the best result I got has been with the ER4+crossfeed and doing my best not to move my head. but as you suggest in this topic, having physical speakers in front of me does the trick with almost any music on almost any headphone( but again only as long as I do not move my head).
