Mytek Brooklyn Thread

I just heard from Mytek support as follows:
Please switch number of channels (4 8) in Mytek Control Panel app.

I'll have to try it when I get back from work tonight.

make sure safe mode is unticked or the setting change won't bind

update... safe mode isn't the issue for binding... if you close the control panel it defaults to 4 channels from 8

I got the same answer but my DAC+ is connected to a SOtM sMS-200ultra USB player.
This seems a solution only in the case the DAC+ is connected to a Windows PC or a MAC. Am I wrong?

without the control panel you wont be able to change that setting

Thanks @captblaze.

Did I correctly understand you that I cannot:
1) Connect the DAC+ to my Windows PC and change the "number of channels" setting in the Mytek Control Panel
2) Reconnect the DAC+ to the sMS-200 and use the sMS-200 with the new "number of channels" setting

Please let me know if this solution works for you!

I tried to use the Mytek Control Panel on Windows and this is what I got:

Mytek Control Panel-Win.png

Is this the control panel where I should see the "Number of Channels" option?
I see only part of the options (see horizontal list of options on the bottom of the page) and I could not find a way to scroll it to the left. How does it work?

Thanks!

This solution didn't seem to make a difference unfortunately! I've let Mytek know. Also, that is the control panel, but the Brooklyn has to be on to see the channel setting. It'll appear in that section below the Firmware section. Also, to see the other options, you have to click one of those gray lines between the buttons and drag to the left.

I just got word from Mytek that they've confirmed the bug and are working on a fix.

I received a similar message from Mytek support. Good they were able to replicate the problem. I will keep listening my high-res PCM tracks with MQA enabled until the fix it.

Question about B+.
Can I use both front HP outs as Balanced Out for one HP?
How to set it up?
Thanks.
Yes you can, but it's not a setting. You need to get a special adapter either from Mytek or some place else. It's two 1/4" jacks that terminate into a female 4pin XLR.
