What do they sound like? Or what do you think stands out the most?

 Sound like fast isodynamic headphone (about on par with The-6, bit faster than he-4, much faster than LCD-2), but more comfortable in treble and in upper mids. Bass quantity to be slightly on the light side, but its quality is top notch. Mid centric headphone.
 Typical for magneplanar headphones sense of space - mediocre (HD800 much better in this regard). 
  Low sensitive, hard to drive

Apparently they might be on Massdrop soon, as the latest email from them mentioned that their "resident audiophile" was listening to the "Myst Izophone 30" at his station.

yep, they isn't polished too much.

That's how it should be, who gives a **** about ornate, emasculating headphones. 

It look very similar to the HE300 with a Grado/MB Quart-GM Headband.
