Well, how close are you to Highland,Indiana. If you can wait a few months for me to convert the recording studio I will be using for a shop I will make the trip worthwhile for you.I gotta go to Indiana to keep from violating any existing dealer agreements in the Chicago area.

Highland?.... that looks like its just SE of Chicago (S of 80). I could probably get there quicker as traffic shouldn't be as bad. Its about a 3.5 hr drive.

Will you be selling tubes? Its such a pain trying to get tubes off ebay.

The only place in the United States that I've been able to track down one of these players is at http://www.aaaprice.com/pansl9.html for US$169.00. The price is very reasonable. I called a friend who just happens to be flying down tomarrow morning from Taiwan

and explained that she just had to do whatever was humanly possible to track down a unit for me. They're selling for around US$170-190 overseas and something to be noted is my friend said that six of the eight shops she went to were completely sold out and backordered on these CT790s.

I also have a quick OT question. Does anyone know anything about the Sony D-EJ1000? It's also an Asia only cd player that seems to be like a nice toy (and either Sony copied Pana or vice versa). Here are the links:

The EJ1000 seems to be nothing more than an upgraded EJ01 minus the slot load feature...
