I originally saw this done by warrior05 way back, who also suggested that I do it eventually, and I have been meaning to do it for some time now, and finally got around to it. I took some pics of the result

I've been listening to the headphones since I put them on a bit ago, and I love them. They're so much more comfortable now, not to mention they look great. Definitely a nice upgrade.

Yes, those Q40 stock pads are horrible. Way too thin.
The DT770 velour earpads are a great improvement on comfort and sound.
I use mine with Beyer leather earpads.

makes a world of difference comfort wise. i forget they are on unless theres some bass that hits them hard enough to vibrate and make me realize they're headphones
