Its slightly obscure.  I first saw it used on TDWTF and adopted it to use myself.  Basically using it in a sentence means something like, "Insert name of deity here."

Back in my day when we contracted polio, we let it slowly break down our nervous system until it caused varying levels of paralysis.  None of these new-fangled "vaccines" from fancy pants "scientists" with their highfalutin "facts" and "objectivity."  Think they're so great just because they have shoes with soles and aren't afflicted with open festering sores all over their bodies...
