I'd be interested to hear more about your experience and what you think makes such a significant difference? Is it the type of copper used in the cable, the shielding, or something else?
Shielding.

Mr Alvin Chee 關於 Denafrips 全系列產品的 DSD 處理方式,他的回覆如下:

"Our R-2R networks can directly convert PCM signals with a sampling rate
of up to 24.576M, and can directly convert native 1-bit DSD signals with
a sampling rate from DSD64-DSD512. However, the result of the direct
conversion sound quality is not ideal, as there will be a large digital
noise floor, so Direct conversion is not the best way in our opinion."
"We use internal processing technology similar to TI DSD1700. We make use
of analog FIR filters to convert to 6BIT multi-level DSD signals through
FPGA, prior sending the signals to the R-2R networks. This is not because
of the limitation or adaptation to suit the R-2R networks, but to have the
smallest digital conversion noise, and the sound is certainly better."

I doubt if what agent of Denafrips say is true or not?

1) This thread is dedicated to the Musician Pegasus, not any Denafrips units, so I don't think there's a direct correlation.
2) Not quite sure what your question is - can you please clarify.

Can somebody check if volume adjustment via USB is working on Win10?
I'll check when I get home. I assume you mean check if changing the volume on the PC (like a pre-amp) changes the overall volume? Just to confirm, are you using Tidal as a source? If so, do you have "absolute volume" checked in the options?

I just talking about the regular Windows sound - master volume in system mixer. Not working via USB, but working via toslink of my mobo, but the sound is too poor comparing to USB via PPA v.3 + iDefender+ (with iFi iPower) + Neotech 1020 cable

Nope, I just checked it with Foobar & Windows Media Player - volume does not work at the system level.

Pegasus was designed by chief engineer of Denafrips. Same theory. Question is fpga and r2r are involved in DSD playing?

The Wonder Twins are sounding nice and airy after a weeks worth of burn in.
