Nice review! Good job :P lol I wonder what are you going to do with so many customs!

I'mma sell them :P

Haha well since I started my IEM Journey I was always searching for my favorite sound in IEMs.
After 2 years of testing and trying Universal IEMs in which I think I've probably owned over 60 Pairs I finally settled upon the Westone Um3x and for a long while it was my favorite. Even to this day with all of these extremely lovely sounding flagship Custom IEMs I still listen to music with the Um3x on a regular basis.
I'm really trying to find a custom IEM that will have the same hooking effect that the Um3x had on me :P

Right now I can say for sure that when this is over the UERM and UE18 are going to be sold :P
Theyre simply not my cup of tea, but by all means still great IEMs :P

btw is the bass quantity of the UERM higher than Westone 3? which one is more versatile with different genres in your opinion driven direct from a DAP (no amp)?

Um I don't have the W3s with me anymore but from memory I would say its similar due to the fact that custom molded somewhat increases the bass due to having a better seal.

Is it just me or is every custom IEM review out a multi-page essay-style super detailed report ?

Would the UERM be a good compliment to my ES5 and 18 Pro? Or the JH16 would fit better? I want something as different as possible.

It would have been nice if you had the JH16 Pro's instead of the 18's. The best 3 that would compliment each other is the UERM ( treble ), ES5 ( midrange ) and JH16 ( bass ).

Oh absolutely.  There's a reason I have both.  I used to use the DBA-02 and Monster MD as compliments so now it's UERM and ES5.  Both are just far more capable yet move much closer to each other than those other two.  I wouldn't get the 16 unless it was the 3A.  If you are comfortable with where the product is at this moment.

I also want something to compliment my ES5. I'm trying to decide between the UERM and the UM Miracle. Decisions, decisions...

Since he already has the 18 pro, fit should not have been a problem for his RM, as he can just order and let UE use his ear impression info of the 18. I plan to do the same if I ever will order the RM.

Still deciding on what to get as my first (and probably last) customs.

I've heard UM Miracle, Mage and JH13 demo sets.

Have yet listened to JH16, UERM and ES5.

Of the three that I've heard, I love the JH13 the most.

BIG treble fan here. Coming from the DBA02s, the JH13s were the first pair of phones that outclassed the trebles of my beloved zebras by a margin that made me uncomfortable with the 02s after just 1 hour of listening to the 13s.

Trebles-wise, I LOVED the 13s. The detail, the energy and the non-sibilant nature of the highs.

For the mids, it can do with more smoothness. But details wise still superb.

Bass was tight and controlled. I loved the speed of the bass. Details were also good. Could do with just a little more body. IMO, these are just a little (I can't emphasise more how slight the difference here is) below the sweet spot for bass quantity.

It's hard to find an ES5 demo unit here, or so I was told.

I've heard a few Westones universals and are convinced by their mids. No qualms there. What I need to know about the ES5s is regarding their treble and bass. Do I get the same energetic and detailed treble I get from the JH13s? Bass quantity wise how do they compare to the JHs?

I would find some time to try the JH16s out to really confirm my stance regarding bass. Didn't have the luxury of time to do so today, unfortunately.

Definitely a toss-up between the ES5 and the two JHs, though.
