**MrSpeakers Mad Dog: Impressions and Discussion Thread**

Your impressions seemed to be similarly echoed by others who heard it. This amp may make quite a splash at $120!!

Can someone describe what this is ?  The first time there was a reference to "Vali", I assumed that it was a nickname for the "Valhalla" amp.  And there is not a peep on the Schiit web site yet...

Dan - the second link reminds me that you are missing one essential aspect of modern headphone production - a marketing picture with a female wearing the headphones !

Dan, the Mjolnir-Gungnir setup you had in Dallas was fantastic for the Alpha Dogs. What happened the the Burson gear you had for single ended?

Hey guys, I need some feedback from Asgard  owners in this thread. How do they pair with the MDs?

I know planar magnetics scale better with more power, hence why I'm interested.

The A2 is a good pairing. Provides great imaging and strong clean mids. The lyr will warm the bass and add punch...smoother mids with the right tubes. Both are very good though.

Has anybody tried a WA7 with the MD or even the AD? I'd be very intrigued to find out how either combo sounded.

I think they will be out of stock for weeks, because they are an essential part of the new Alpha Dogs headphones, and there is a 6 week back order on those headphones... so one would assume that all of their Alpha Pads are being used to assemble Alpha Dogs headphones...

The site is not correct, pads are in stock.  We had a database issue and the status reverted to a backup.  Ironically, our ISP is having a major outage and our site is down so I can't fix the status at the moment, so FYI.

Just got these. Just using my PA2V2 + 5.5Gen Ipod. My previous can was a DT770/80. So far I don't know how to feel. I'm not overly impressed to be honest. Maybe they just need a period of breaking them in?

Also, using a 1/4 to 1/8 adapter by sennheiser.

edit: maybe I'm just a basshead.
