What is the minimum requirements would you say is needed to drive the MDs? Would the leckerton uha 6s be enough to drive them power wise? Is there a budget dac amp combo at least the e12's power? Thanks a lot.

When I owned the MDs, I used a Leckerton to drive them. It's not the last word on absolute power, but it sounded better than the other portables I used to drive them, the O2 and Fiio E11 (or 10; can't remember). The Leckerton is a very good sounding amp. As far as portable amplifiers are concerned, I really can't recommend it enough, for any headphone you'd want to use in a portable setting.

I just got my Mad Dogs in the mail.  They're a very nice set of headphones!  They compare quite nicely to my HD 650's.  It still amazes me that these are a closed set of headphones.
