MrSpeakers ETHER Flow and ETHER C Flow -- Inspired by Electrostatic Headphones

You can have only one headphone: Ether Flow or Hifiman HE-1000
These are my options for an upgrade to TOTL gear so your opinions would be helpful. (but you can have just one!)
thanks guys!
Interesting question from my point of view. I have had the opportunity to buy both the HE-1000 and Ether in the past and bought neither for different reasons. I found the HE-1000 too uncomfortable and overpriced for the performance. I like a lot about it but at the end of the day, I couldn't validate buying it. The Ether 1.1 is a great headphone in a lot of ways but I found the treble too laid back for my tastes and the overall n-shape was just not my flavor of choice.
The Ether Flow, now, has none of those problems. It's as comfortable as the Ether has always been (one of the most comfortable headphones made, IMHO), it's reasonably priced for its performance level, the treble is now far from laid back and it no longer feels n-shaped in any way. The overall tonality is fantastic: bass is now extended all the way instead of rolled in the sub bass and the treble is much brighter than it was.
The Ether Flow is the easy choice for me. It's more to my tastes than the original Ether and it's significantly cheaper and more comfortable than the HE-1000.

Doesn't this effectively render the 1.1 obsolete? Who would buy the 1.1 when these are available in the same price range?

I just finished comparing Ether Flow against he1000. Flow was better in every regard: technical performance, musicality, build quality, comfort and finally...price.
Sounds like I will be upgrading. My cups on my C's got a scuff mark on them was going to try and buff it out but it looks like I won't have to bother after all. Way to go Dan and the gang.

Wow! HE-1000 used values are going to hit the floor! Great to see new, more sensibly priced launches take the fight to the $3000+ cans

None, sorry. I didn't have it to compare. But it's pretty tough to compare open and closed headphones TBH.

I'm quite interested in the ETHER Flow C. I have the ETHER but never got around to getting the C version. Anybody tried the Flow C with Henley or Trash Can Sinatras?

I don't like the way they're making the Ether electrostat (not Stax connector but an adapter, detachable cables, etc), but this Ether flow looks like a winner.
I'll try to audition the open back Ether flow when it becomes available.

This thing's amazing, doesn't sound much like a planar, very smooth.

How's the bass on Ether C (or Ether, but more interested on the C) compared to HEK and HD800S? I like the Ether C smooth midrange and treble but the lack of bass really makes it a boring headphones for me. I am here hoping the Flow will resolve this. Definitely looking forward to demoing this some time in the future.
Would love to hear more thoughts on this as well. I had similar impressions with the Ether C.
