Sorry about the misunderstanding. Blue Hawaii is high quality amp from professional builders for sure. I am just pointing out that Blue Hawaii can be sold from local dealers and website. But for Carbon and T2, most of times, people can only get unassembled parts and build by themselves or other professional builders. As for the sound quality, they are on the same level.

No worries! I just wanted to be sure I understood you

If you have a nice stereo 2 channel amp you can also consider a Woo Audio WEE energizer. It's built like a tanks and sounds quite good for the price. Also, Linear Tube Audio has made progress on the ZOTL stat amp. I hope to have a prototype to hear soon...

LTA is going to announce a stat amp? WOW. It should be very interesting. Intrigued!

Dan kindly provided a pair for our AZ meet. I got a chance to listen to them through a Cavalli amp. Very nice. I felt they were much more open and detailed sounding than the
Stax 007's that belonged to the Cavalli's owner. If stat's were my thing, Dan's would be my choice for sure.
That is why people in this thread are all looking forward to these headphones badly.:)

Looking forward to it.
Great electrostatic amp is important for how well the electrostatic headphones perform.

They had a working prototype at AXPONA this year. It was still in development, but there was a lot of potential in the short demo I had.

I heard the latest version yesterday at the LTA shop with the Ether E (is that the correct name?) prototype. It sounded really good top to bottom. Very natural mids with lots of space reminiscent of DHT sound to me. There may be an additional output for standard Headphones as well.

Does this mean you all are getting close to releasing it? :k701smile:

Our ES is almost done. We are now into final production qualifications and process, tuning is complete. Here's our reference curve and what we'll show at RMAF.

Is there someplace in northern CA where I can hear these, now or in the near future?
Can you tell us what were the goals of your tuning? Another way of asking this is, what is your vision of high fidelity?
