I own the Ultrasone Pro 650, 750, Denon D2000, DT770/80. For your purposes I'd go with the Pro 650 or 750. The D2000 isn't the tightest bass I've heard but imo it isn't boomy in the least. They are also extremely comfortable. The only problem is they don't provide a lot of isolation.  The Pro 650 has very well controlled bass better than the Pro 750. They provide a more isolation but it isn't something to write home about and they do leak a bit a higher volumes. The bass is great though. Soundstage is dependent on whether or not S logic works for you or not. They also have better mids and highs imo.

how do the dt 150, dt250, ultrasone 780, m-audio q40 compare in terms of bass impact/definition

Not sure I can help you there. Out of the ones you listed I've only heard the 780s. I only listened to them for maybe 30 mins and I'm going from memory so I'm not sure how accurate this is. I found the 750s to be essentially a more refined/polite version of the 780s in all respects. They didn't have as much bass quantity as the 780s but it was of better quality and seemed to maintain the level of impact (perhaps a little less). The 750s were definitely more neutral than the 780s. Hope this helps. If you have any other questions feel free to ask. Good luck!

MOST impactful bass will have to go to the Ultrasone HFI 580 and the PRO 550.  The HFI has REALLY thumpy bass. The bass quantity goes down as you go up the line of Ultrasone headphones but then go back up again around $500. So I suggest the HFI 580 and Pro 550. They are amazing for bassheads. The PRO series is great for electronica-more spacious. The HFI for rock-more upclose presentation.

Just to let you know, I believe there's a 780 in the FS forum now that's going for somewhere around $135 and a Pro 650 for $120 if they haven't been sold by now.

Okay so im down to ultrasone 780, 580, pro 550, pro 650, 2500, dj1, grado SR325i and im planning to eq it so the bass quantity larger and more unbalanced due to my genres i listen to and im a bass head, do you think they would lose definition and impact, maybe go boomy if i try EQ them up?

I've seen conflicting reports about the bass qualities of the HFI 780 vs. the 580. (impact, extension, etc.)  I have the Pro 900 on the way but wanted to A-B them with one of these two cans. (in terms of overall performance, not just bass)  Anyone else care to chime in with their first-hand experiences?

If you are a basshead like me, you may miss the HFI 580's incredible bass. I know I do. The 780 is a dramatic decrease in bass quantity, though it is more balanced. There can be even more bass thump in the 580 than there is in Monster Beats Studio, but at the same time having more crisp highs.

I had the SR325is for a year. I tried Eqing the bass, but if you are a basshead, they will just not satisfy the craving.
