My embarrasing albums... Jesus...

Korn, Bizkit, Eve6, Goo Goo Dolls, Vertical Horizon, Linkin Park, Methods of Mayhem, Puddle of crap, Staind, Chevelle, Kittie - Oracle, Dido, Johnny Marr...

I can't pick one. Just various **** that I can't delete because of odd moods I get into once every blue moon.

I refuse to be embarrassed by my CDs...

Except for that Dido CD. Why o Why did I buy that CD? More like waste of money CD than embarrassed CD.

On that list, I'd include the Velvet Revolver CD and couple of others...

They're all totally pwn'd by my WWF/E CDs. All because of that Hulk Hogan song!

This CD had quite a unique sound when it came out. I thought it was really cool when I heard my sis listening to it. He sold out and became more mainstream as he put out more CDs though, which sucks.

Besides the fact that they aren't even Nu Metal to begin with, KoRn was really different when they first came out. Each KoRn album has a slew of styles and genres as well as sounding different from the other albums, so each album has it's own following of listeners that tend to hate other albums by KoRn. Is that the sign of a crappy band?

Disturbed and Adema have songs full to the brim with emotion and interesting lyrics, along with songs that just "rock out" (Listen to Prayer, it's about his Dad's death)

Actually it's commercialism that's the person. They were marketed as lesbians in the US... even though they have boyfriends... it's possible they're Bi, but we don't talk about "unnatural" stuff like that, right? Well, unless both the chicks are hot. Good ol' USA...

Personally I love "Not gonna get us." Powerful & emotional vocals, not to mention pretty voices.

*Ace of BASE. Big difference.

I quite like I Saw The Sign and All That She Wants. And trust me, i'm not a big fan of 80s music

I really don't like how poppy they sound sometimes, but there's good artistry in Linkin Park. The lyrics in Breaking The Habit are great, and Cure For The Itch is an awesome groove.

I'm 19 and listen to lots of "Avant Garde" music (and apparently also lots of crap since I like all the bands in the posters' comments above), and in fact also love the Norah Jones album. Her voice is beautiful, it's a high-quality recording.. what more can I say? Mellow and serene.

What do you listen to that's so amazing in comparison?

Man, you guys are harsh on your CDs....

I'm not embarassed by my music collection. I love my music. If anything my taste in music is "too" broad, but I do have some CDs I wish I hadn't bought:

Elizium - Fields of the Nephilim
some Moby stuff.. for some reason I LOVE a couple of his songs and totally hate the rest. lol
a couple Gold CDs.. make sure you know you like an album before spending 65-200$ on it

Glory B Da Funks on Me! The Bootsy Collins Anthology

No wait, I kinda like it. Lets pick another one, because believe me I have plenty.

The Bloodhound Gang - Hooray For Boobies

But I didn't buy it myself! Honestly! It was, err... an Xmas present!

Also I was pretty embarassed about the Crazy Town CD when I saw the actual band for the first time. Damn music videos.

That's the spirit! Though in the presence of people whose taste I particularly respect, I know I would be ashamed of more than a few of mine. But really, that says something about me and nothing about the music. What I am really ashamed of is that I would be ashamed in the first place.

I really like this thread, i have like 50 cd's i can mention here.
But my worst ever cd i bought was thunderdome 7 it's "gabber" thats like mindless hardcore dance music with 220 beats a second.
The cd goes something like this:

boink boink boin boinkboink boink boink boink boinkboink etc...

someone should start a thread about our girlffriends/wives/boyfriends/husbands cd's we are ashamed off.

I once had this really hot girldfriend who was real cool, bald ,tattoed lots of piercings. Listened to lots of obscure metal and gothic music.
So one day i went over to her house and heard these weird sounds coming from the bedroom. So i thought i'd check it out. And their she is dancing around and singing at the top of her lungs, the whole bloody reportoire of John Denver
blink.gif

Well my jaw just dropped to the floor and i stood their for like 15 mins just shocked hehe. And she started mumbling and getting all red in the face hehe.
So after a long talk i found out she was a huge John Denver Fan.
Not to say a bad word about John Denver but damn he aint exactly uhhm cool. You know country just aint my thing.
Oh yeah we broke up soon after that :p

I don't know exactly about "Avant Garde". Right now I'm listening to Arcturus' 'The Sham Mirrors' which is spacey & exciting.

Actually I took an oath to leave the Nora alone, so if you love her voice more power to you. Enjoy.
But when I want to hear a real woman I listen to Angela Gossow of Arch Enemy.
wink.gif

But I'm serious about loving her voice.
