You may have the same right ear shape than me.....

Knowing now first hand about the potential fitting problem with IEMs I wont buy any that cant be customized or dont have a price high enough to merit such an investment.

Amicalement

K81DJ : all the OMG teh bass comments should have warned me
Grado SR 325 : OMG teh treble
Grado RS-1 :not really bad, but totally overpriced. I do like the SR225s better for hard rock, and for any other genre I prefer other brands anyway.
Shure E5 : uncomfortable and totally overpriced.Any $100 full size cans are better than this.I even like the Koss el cheapos better overall.
Beyer DT 531 and AKG K240S : old groovalizer and new groovalizer.
Pfhhh, they are both mid-fi borealizers not worth my listening time at home.
Sony MDR SA-5000: detail shmetail, but where's the music?

I feel the same way about these cans...Wanted to have the SR325i. After hearing it went with some HF-1s.

When i trade my PX-100 for a pair of HD212 cause i tought that the fact that they were bigger and have a bigger number in their name make them better cans hahaha, but now i read reviews and normaly it fits my expectation.
Oh and Shure E3G that make me realise that IEM ain't for me at all cause i feel clostrophobic

AKG K81DJ's, but ONLY because they didn't fit my huge head comfortably. I loved the sound. If they would have fit, they would still be a part of my rotation.

None!

I've been blessed by progressive revelation so to speak. Every headphone I purchased satisfied me because at the time of purchasing it was the best I have heard up to that time. I have a feeling it won't be this way any longer. After listening to AD2000 purchasing superrior phones will be tougher. I just ordered 325i so it might be that first regretting purchase.

Haha, step back a year or two when they retailed for 200$us+ (which I paid).
:sigh:, live and learn.

Biggest disappointments:

MDR EX90 - same old screechy EX71 for double the price
DT250/80 - sounds like a pair of 3-way speakers with blown tweeters
ER4P - microphonic, no bass, overpriced and overrated
K701 - not bad, just too sterile for my tastes

well it wasn't exactly a purchase.

I swapped my 2nd broken pair of Bose Triports for a pair of Sennheiser HD280's what a big mistake. The headphones on them split as well.
