I just ordered the KXXX a week ago and now the KATO come out 😭. I'm also being told the blessing 2 Dusk is a lot better now, which was also in my budget. Anyone have any idea how the KXXX compares to the dusk? I own a lot of sub $300 iems (isn h40, kbear believe, penon orb, etc) and the starfields are by far my favorite so I'm hoping to find my sub 300 endgame in a starfield upgrade.

Since you have a bunch, save up for variations maybe?

At least you get a taste of est.

Softears RS10 but that thing costs $2100😮‍💨
Not a good Return-on-Investment type of IEM also it’s still a 10BA IEM. layering surely will be the one that could surprise you, but dynamisms are with Variation’s tribrids side.
MEST MKII will be a good upgrade from Variations but I do need to think twice which bass I like more, I think I like Variations bass over MKII’s.
Thank you for the tips. For me, Variations' bass is too much. MEST MKII could be my perfect fit then. RS10 will be my ultimate goal. I am not ready for it yet.

I'm after some bullet style Moondrops. The Quarks just came out but I know a year or two ago they did the Crescent and the Spaceship. How do these compare?

For reference I have a genuine pair of MH755 which I like, but their soundstage is small and I find the treble to be a bit shouty and thin. The bass is good however.

How is the Variations compare to MEST MKII?
Variations is a fun and enjoying iem with good sub bass
MKII has more details and clarity compare to variations

I've never heard an IEM that sounded quite like the B2 Dusk. It just sounds so sweet. I've heard some people say that these kind of sound like full-size headphones, and honestly that's a pretty good description. They get pretty close to having a full-sized sound. Superb detail, imaging and layering. Not disappointed in the money I spent at all.

Also surprised by the amount of bass kick these have. My K371 has more bass, but the B2 Dusk actually sounds a little more dynamic. Tuning is pretty much spot on, although sometimes the upper mids sound a little too shouty, and treble extension isn't completely there, but overall, little to no complaints in the sound department.

I'm a little unsure of the fit though. I'm getting a good seal, but my left ear canal hurts a little sometimes if these are worn a certain way (like if I try to push on it, it kinda hurts my ear). Today I wore them for 3 hours and found myself getting used to them after a while but they really do fill my ears. Might just take some time, if they're still uncomfortable after a week I might try spinfits, but switching to my AirPod Pro, it's clear that the B2 Dusk just isn't the most comfortable IEM, at least not for me.

I had same issue with stock eartips once I switched to different tips the problem went away. There was something about the original tips that caused ear pain for me.

Even the MEST MKII is 3x more expensive than Variations lol.

Anyone find the lower treble/upper mids of the Variations a bit sluggish? I just find it not sounding good for pop male vocal.
Sample? I think some reviewers say that the mid is a little bit thin so male vocal sounds not full. I listened to Tony Bennett, Jamiroquai, Green Day, Dave Matthews, etc and they sounds fine to my ears.
