Well, somehow it seems crinacle's rig adds a couple of dBs at the pinna region. The official measurement using a B&K 4128 the pinna region is at ~14dB. You can observe the same effect in Tanchjim Tanya since it's hitting close to 20dB on his rig as well.

Quarks ordered from Moondrop AE store, maybe in a month I will receive.
It’s surprising low-budgeted, but I can compare with those bullet type IEMs like Tanya/E500/Neon.

No waifu box art 😭

@MOONDROP will there be a version of the Quarks with a microphone?

I've also pulled the trigger on Quarks. Should have them in a month or so. Pretty excited to try them. Alas, they've not got any kawaii art to accompany the IEMs 🥲

Yes.

No mic on the Quarks? Damn.
I guess they want to keep it targeted towards hobbyists as opposed to casual users who want to replace/purchase earphones to couple with their smartphones.

not much to reveal yet, what I only know yet it was 6mm LCP buds
Official description doesn't mention anything about LCP drivers. Sigh.

I think this is a rather interesting thing. I was sort of on the fence on getting an SSP for outside home use since a bass shelf is welcomed in noisier environments. maybe ill just wait on the quarks then and see once it gets compared to the SSR/SSP.

I love my SSR (with Xelastec tips) and from what I see is that SSP tonality isnt as open in the mids as the SSR? also does imaging slightly suffer due to the different material used for dampening inside (mentioned in the website that 4 dampeners were changed).

"To preserve SSR's neutral signature in mid and high frequencies with respect to Diffuse field HRTF, while add extra energetic bass without overall signature/ soundstage pollution caused by masking, we'vemade many efforts to change the material/density of the 4 dampers in the headphone to achieve a natural yet energetic timbre."

I've also wondered if the SSP can improve like the Aria improves when filter swapped to the SSR mesh filters? (I had this idea since the SSP stock filter looks more like a grill similar to what the Aria has.)

liquid crystal polymer = LCP
high performance polymer could be just a different way to translate that.
Unlike Aria/Variations, this states a composite magnetic micro diaphragm driver.

Yeah I'm seeing the 8 core is 80 strands total and the silver plated copper is 214 strands. But still 80 strands of pure silver is a steal. I think I'm gonna pick one of these up and hopefully it will be an upgrade to my kbear cable.
I have a 2 pin 2.5mm 4 core Limpid. Haven't tried it on anything. Was an impulse buy on Amazon a little while back. I think it was $29.00 which isn't bad if one doesn't want to wait on delivery from China.
